On January 7, 2025, Astitva Foundation organized a blanket distribution program for the underprivileged in several areas of Ranchi, including Blind Colony, Tamtam Toli, Khadgadha Bus Stand, Arvind Nagar, Doranda, and Paras Toli.
Dr. Kriti Srivastava Maji, the director of the foundation, expressed that the primary aim of this initiative is to provide relief to the poor suffering from the harsh cold.
The foundation is particularly focused on the welfare of the third-gender community, helping them both socially and economically. Dr. Maji emphasized the importance of uplifting this community and ensuring they receive the support they need.
The event was attended by former councilor Naseem Gaddi, Somvit Maji, and Firoz Ji, who played an active role in the distribution process.
This initiative successfully reached out to numerous families, offering them warmth and relief during the cold weather. Dr. Maji also appealed to other capable individuals to contribute to such social causes.
The local community highly appreciated the foundation’s effort, recognizing the potential for positive societal change through humanitarian aid and support.
